Re: pews within the Church

I had a long discussion this week with a fellow parishioner. He was telling me that there was a great opportunity in one city in our state to have a jointly supervised Greek-Antiochain parish. The Greeks attended the Antiochian church, it does not have pews, there were at least 50 Greek families that could have been part of this joint community. After discussions with the Antiochian priest who refused to budge on the issue of pews, the 50 families left and are now starting their own parish in competition with the Antiochian church. How sad, both ways over a small issue. Compromise would have founded one strong church not two weak missions.
