No body in this discussion said that all Christians are good and all Muslums are bad, is not only jumping to conclusions, is a gratuitus insult.
You asked the Question:
"What weighs more in your eyes, the opinion of the Church, the opinion of those around you or God?"
:
Are you an Orthodox Christian? Do you know what ecumenism is? Do you know what heresy is? Do you know what Doctrine means and where it comes from? Who do you say Christ is? Do you know that the Orthodox Church is the voice of God on earth? "What weighs more in your eyes.." you ask "The opinion of the Church...or God?"
One can not separate the Church from God. The Orthodox Church is the voice of God on earth. Also, the Orthodox Church's teachings are not opinions, they are THE truth. The true Christian will not give his or her personal views on any matter which is a part of the Christian lifestyle, but abides by and obeys the teachings of the Church. One can not separate the teachings of the Church from God, they are the insperation of the Holy Spirit.
When it comes to the truth I am most intolerant. It is only the liberal anti-christian, that spots retoric such as "archaic""intolerance" "close-mindedness" which by the way is what you are if anybody disagrees with you, This is liberalism or rather relativism. How one "feels" about an issue is what is important to the liberal, not the truth, not facts.
You should study the Orthdox Church before you give YOUR personal views on such a crucial matter.
If you are a Muslum you should not be teaching an Orthodox Christian about marriage. If you are an Orthodox, you are giving some bad advice.
Besides, if you are the kind of person who believes that everyone has the right to their own beliefs, everyone right, no body wrong, then you can not criticize anyone.
You are a conformist "to this day and age" and do not think for yourself, which is shown by the language you use.
