I have heard that theologically orthodox schismatics such as the Donatists of St. Augustine's era or the Novatians of St. Cyprian's era were received into Orthodox Communion by simply being Chrismated. Though all non-trinitarians such as former Arians or Trinitarians who were anathematized by an Ecumenical Synod like Monophysites at Chalcedon or Monothelites (Pope Honorius) at 2nd Constantinople etc.. were re-baptized. I have also heard that the prevailing attitude of the Old Calenderists toward Protestants is that they are more akin to the former than the latter. I don't agree. Conservative Trinitarian Protestants are much like Novatian or Donatists being essentually orthodox in theology while being hold outs for purifying changes they see as necessary.
