The fundamental difference of the Orthodox from the Catholics are:-

1. We the Orthodox are who named " Mother of God " to St. Mary.

2. The Catholics teaches that St. Mary's birth is with a pre concept to concieve Jesus Christ so They celeberate the birth day of St. Mary.

We Orthodox Church teaches that it is not a preconcept but we respect St. Mary from the time that St. mary received the message form Angel Gabrial that she has been selected to conceve Jesus Christ in her womb. that is why we Orthodox are not entertaining the 8 days fasting of st. mary Novena that the Catholics celeberating.

3. Catholics teaches that their Pope is un-questianble as he is not a sinner.
The Orthodox teaching is that all are sinners and God is only Holy so all are
questainable.

Orthodox it means the true belief and correct worship. So we do not need to look for what others are doing. We are the blessed ones and are in the correct path.
