I am so very sorry about your situation James...my heart goes out to you! I am also a convert from Roman catholicism. I belong to the Antiochian Archdiocese.I can understand the feelings of frustration and alienation that can take place. Orthodoxy is still developing in our nation with tons of converts coming to the True Faith. The converts...us and I...are going to be the catalyst for the uniting of the jurisdictions. I am Puerto Rican and very much into my roots as one. I am the son of immigrants to this great land of ours.I can relate to both sides of the struggle concerning ethnicism and assimilation. How much more since there aren't that many Puerto Rican Orthodox around in the first place...lol! I say trust that God's will is being done no matter whats the problem! Let's not throw the baby with the bathwater (especially since that water is what rose us with Christ) but pray and try to be active somehow in living according to God's will. Doesn't Our Lord say," But seek first the Kingdom of God and His rightousness and all these things will be added to you....Matthew 6:33?" Trust in God...partake of His Life thru the Holy Mysteries and grow in the Image and Likness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ!!!
