Re: capital punishment

The Byzantine Empire and then the Empire of Russia are great ways to look at how the Church works in the context of relationship to government since both empires ruled hand in hand with the Church. Both of these empries also used catpital punishment as retribution for certain crimes. To what extent that has to play on society today, I don't know. Just a thought.
