Re: capital punishment

I was actually in the middle of writing a paper about this when I stumbled onto your site. From my research, the old testament advocates death penalty for such reasons as adultery, not observing the Sabbath, prostitituition and various sins. However, Jesus' example of love and forgiveness shown in the story of the prostitute clearly shows where Christians should stand, if we are to follow his example.
