out of Adventism

I am on my way to becoming a catechumen. My husband & I are planning to move and have not found a parish yet.
I have found the difficulties from within my own family. I was raised in the Seventh Day Adventist church. It would be helpful to hear from someone who has come from this background and how you were able to explain and share with family and friends, your change to Orthodoxy.
So far my family has read the pamphlet on Being an Orthodox Christian. But they say they are worried and try to talk me out of the truth I have come to love.
I have fallen in love with everything about Orthodoxy, but have a hard time helping them to understand. It is as if they dont want to know.
Forgive me for going on & on. If anyone can share with me their experiences, I know it would be helpful to me. Thank you & god Bless
