Andrew! You crack me up, Brother (Bapticostal!!! I nearly showered my monitor with coffee!!! heh heh). Gotta love ya!
From birth to 44 years of age I was Christian and Missionary Alliance. I took a year off teaching and travelled to the former Soviet Union where I personally "discovered" the Orthodox Church! (not that it was lost... but I sure was). Returning home after a month's travels, I went into a six month catechumenate before being brought into the Church. This June will complete my 11th year as an Orthodox Christian.
Oh... but it gets even better. My former wife left me shortly after I returned from my trip. I was alone and terribly lonely. Then four years ago the Lord brought a wonderful woman into my life. A dear friend of mine... an Archimandrite in the Byelo-Russian Church baptized her, brought her into the Church and married us the the most beautiful Orthodox wedding we could possibly imagine. She now shares my Faith and is a wonderful helpmate to me.
