Dan,hello I am married for over 23yrs I have 5 children . I was involved in the evangelical protestant movement for about 20yrs.I was a ruling Elder in 2 Presbyterian churchs.I also attended Bible churchs (Dallas Seminary manned churchs).I have been Orthodox for over 4 yrs.I am now a parishioner of St John the
Theologin Greek Orthodox Church.I have also taken some courses in Systematic Theology and Hemenutics all from a Protestant perspective.I have fairly good understanding of Covenant or Refomed Theology and Dispensational Theology.
Dan,I see the Evangelical Protestant movement as not having a connection to to ancient church e.g Worship all of its hymns are basicly from the 19th cent and
what ever some talented person now can make up at the moment.Most of the so called Christian music today is just a replacement for whats going on in the Secular World however in the Eastern Church, Byzantine Chant goes back for well
over a thousand years.something to think about.and by the way Icons are not considerd art, they are a written Theology.Dan have you ever visited an Orthodox
