Why are you dredging up this ancient post (and issue)??? We discussed this four years ago and my answer has not changed. The Church is the pillar and foundation of the truth. For two millennium the Church has declared the Oriental and Coptic Orthodox to be in error. Trying at this juncture to unravel their reasons and declare that the Church had misjudged these "other" Orthodox is unwarranted. If they "were" misjudged, it's a simple matter of their now declaring that they embrace ALL seven of the Ecumenical Councils (something they still will not do).
