Absolute and unmitigated rubbish. The Catholic Church is filled with innovations (i.e. the immaculate conception, papal infallibility) and it has wandered from the true faith. The Orthodox Church is the only true Church of our Lord and Savior. It has kept the faith intact from the earliest days. Take your Catholic babble somewhere else. We're not falling for this.

No, I'm afraid it's not. For meditation purposes you can say the Jesus Prayer. A Orthodox prayer rope will assist you. You might also want to get the book, Beginning to Pray by Metropolitan Anthony Bloom which will assist you in meditation and prayer. All the best.

Spiritually speaking, yes. Abraham's progeny was to be as great as the sands of the seashore and the stars of the heavens. The Church is the New Israel... the new chosen people. Thus we are the "stars of the heavens" as it were.

Hi Jake Would you mind elaborating about penal substitution. I'm not certain I fully understand this term. Also, why do you believe the RC is attempting to "Orthodoxize" (as you put it) its central doctrines? What would be the purpose of this?
